Frequently asked questions
How do authors get involved?
Authors can apply through our Author Submission Form (see above) or through the "Contact Us" page. You’ll share details about your book, synopsis, and author background. From there, our team reviews submissions and selects titles that align with our themes and box curation.
A contract will be discussed and agreed between the parties regarding the commitment to the author's work being involved in Mythic Manuscripts.
How are books chosen for the box?
We review all submissions carefully, and choices are made based on:
- Theme fit: Does your story align with the theme for the upcoming box (e.g., “Moonlit Quests” or “Kingdoms in Ruin”)?
- Genre & Tone: Primarily fantasy for the quarterly box, but we consider all fiction genres for the monthly box if they pair well with the theme.
- Quality & Readiness: Completed, edited, and publication-ready books get priority.
- Reader Appeal: Unique hooks, compelling characters, and immersive world-building are highly valued.
What does it cost for authors?
Authors are only asked to provide 3 copies of their novel for marketing and creating purposes, free of charge.
We operate on a profit-sharing model based off the average retail market value of the book format.

Monthly Box Books:
- Genre Focus: Romance, Fantasy, Mystery, Mythological, Historic Fiction, Sci-Fi, Gothic, Paranormal, Horror // including hybrids
- Ideal for: Emerging authors, serialized stories, or companion tales to larger works.
Quarterly Box Books:
- Genre Focus: Fantasy, Dystopian, Gothic, Sci-Fi, Adventure // including Hybrids
- Ideal for: Series openers, boxed sets, signed copies, authors who would like to incorporate their own artwork.
Who owns the rights to my book?
You always retain full rights and ownership of your work. Mythic Manuscripts only acts as a distributor and promotional partner for the copies included in our boxes.
